About this tool

Pick a start date and a target date to see the exact number of days, weeks, months, and years between them. Future dates show as “D-N” (N days remaining), past dates as “D+N” (N days passed) — handy for exam countdowns, wedding/travel planning, or anniversary milestones (100-day, 1,000-day, etc.). Everything is calculated in your browser.

How to use

  1. Pick a start date. Defaults to today.
  2. Pick a target date. Future dates show as D-N, past dates as D+N.
  3. Read off whichever unit you need — days, weeks, months, or years — and copy the number.

FAQ

  • Does “D-1” mean tomorrow or today?

This calculator uses D-1 = 1 day remaining (i.e., tomorrow). The day itself is shown as D-Day (0 days remaining). Conventions vary by school or company; if in doubt, check the raw "days remaining" number.

  • How are weeks, months, and years computed?

Weeks are days ÷ 7 (one decimal). Months and years are calendar-based — Mar 10, 2025 → Mar 10, 2026 counts as exactly one year. Leap years and varying month lengths are handled automatically.

  • Can I find anniversaries like the 100-day or 1,000-day mark?

Yes. Set the start date to the date you want to count from, then move the target until the days count reaches 100, 1,000, etc. The breakdown line also tells you which day-number you're currently on.

  • Does it depend on my time zone?

It compares dates only — no hours/minutes — using your device's local time zone, so the same date input produces the same result anywhere in the world.
