About this tool
Convert any temperature between Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), and Kelvin (K). Type a number, pick the source unit, and all three scales update at once. Handy for travelers comparing weather forecasts, cooks following overseas recipes, or anyone doing quick science homework — with common presets like body temperature, freezing point, and oven heat one tap away.
How to use
- Type the temperature you already know in any of Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin.
- Pick which scale your number is in — the other two update automatically.
- Tap a preset chip for quick references like body temperature or the boiling point of water.
FAQ
What's the formula?
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32 and K = °C + 273.15. Everything passes through Celsius internally so the three scales stay perfectly consistent.
Why can't I go below −273.15°C?
That's absolute zero — the coldest possible temperature, where Kelvin equals 0. Going lower has no physical meaning, so the converter blocks it.
Is 36.5°C really "normal" body temperature?
It's a typical resting value for healthy adults, but normal varies from about 36.1°C to 37.2°C depending on time of day and where you measure. The preset is a convenient round number, not a medical threshold.
What temperature is 'room temperature'?
About 20–22°C (68–72°F) for most purposes. Different fields use slightly different standards — labs often standardize on 25°C.
